Things at my new job have been going really well. The clients love me already (at this point, I am just hoping they don't all get fired on Wed. next week- UBS announced layoffs). Last night the WSJ took the MediaVest team and some of the UBS clients to a concert at MSG. Flo Rida opened (he's an artist, but also probably wrote alot of stuff you've heard on the radio lately). Mary J. Blige was AMAZING. She has a totally strong voice live! Also, I loved that throughout the concert she was promoting positive messages. She told couples to love each other, fathers to be good to their kids, etc. She also had some nice thoughts for women- which now that I listen to her music have realized that her music is really positive for women. I was totally impressed. She is one of my new favorite people. Her show was great too....
Now to Jay-Z. I'd have to say that I think Mary was a bit more impressive- but I was totally suprised at actually how many hits Jay-Z has... at one point he started playing pieces of songs and then moved onto the next... I knew practically every single one- and while I am a fan, I can't say that I have purposefully followed him. During this display of hit after hit- he played a piece of a Beyonce song (the tabloids of late are reporting they are married)- and she came OUT ON STAGE!!! I was so excited- and sort of wish she had stayed and sang... I would love to go to a Beyonce concert.
I love when I can do stuff like this for free.

That is SOOO lucky! My work bought me lunch on Friday. It hardly compares. ;)
Lucky duckins- that's cool that Mary J was so awesome! I got a free Netflix account from work this week which was pretty cool too (and get to see free screenings of movies sometimes, but I'm not sure I'll get any free concerts) When you come out in August we need to go to a concert together (I haven't been in AGES!)
