Moving uptown?

So, it is very near certain that my Halloween this year will be spent moving uptown to SpaHa...that's a fancy name for Spanish Harlem. The pictured building on the left will be my new building (pending approval from the rental agency and any other catastrophe). The building is on 5th Ave. across the street from Central Park (cross street 110th). Another change for me: living with rommates again. This time though- I get to pick them (and it's not just a random assortment). I'll be living with my friends Sarah Bees and Mary N. I think it will be a lot of fun to have roommates again (and even MORE fun to save crap loads of money and travel, etc.). I am also thinking very seriously of getting a bike so I can ride around the park (and potentially to work?). Other notables of the new building.... our apt is on the 25th floor- so sunlight!! There is a BRAND NEW NYSC (my gym) a few blocks away. We are super close to 2 different subway lines. There is a laundry in the building- seriously, I can't tell you how exciting that is for me...for the past 3 years my laundry had been sent out and delivered back in a cube.. and the worst part is, the clothes were clean but they smelled like nothing! I can't wait to have my clothes smelling like Tide again. Oh and get this- utilities are included in our super cheap rent! Seriously, this is like the best deal ever. I am really hoping it works out... especially since I signed documents to be out of my studio by Nov. 1st!

I'm excited for you! Is there a place to store your bike at work? That would be some great exercise!

Cool! A new place for me to visit when I get out there next!!! How far is VA from NYC? I will be going out there every summer on business now so maybe you, shanna and I can meet somewhere! I am sure its a few hours away (3 or 4?). Anyway, sounds great! I always liked having lots of roommates...drama is sometimes a fun thing!

AND BY THE WAY... now I have had a song stuck in my head for the past 12 hours because of your blog thanks so much. You remember that oldies song that goes "There is a rose in Spanish Harlem"? Well, whether you remember it or not, it is now a permanent fixture in my head. You owe me!
