I get the magazine. As a perk of the job, I get a lot of magazines for free. In general, it's okay- though it's my opinion that a weekly magazine is just too much for any other magazine other than an US Weekly where you can just look at the pictures and be done. It's the same problem I have with The New Yorker. I don't even have time to read all the articles in the magazine before my next issue is at my door! It's kind of stressful. That being said, I have always had a brilliant idea that someone (hey, maybe me) should have a weekly magazine for the dieter... you know, with a weeks worth of meals (with substitutes, because sometimes diet foods are just gross) and daily goals for exercise and a few tips and tricks and maybe some (only a little) motivational pieces (actual people's profiles)... also, the subscription would include daily text messages at all meal times with a reminder of your choice (Remember: Swimsuit season is coming! Be good at lunch!)
Wow that was completely random... now back to what I was actually wanting to talk about. Entertainment Weekly... and actually the complete first paragrah was totally rambling (note the name of the blog) because what I was actually getting at is the Entertainment Weekly Sandwhich at The Hello Deli across the street. If any of you are fans of David Letterman and his show- you probably know Rupert Gee (he actually works there everyday, it's not just a gag for TV), the nice man who owns the deli underneath the Ed Sullivan Theatre where the Late Show is taped. This Deli also happens to be across the street from my office and has such delicious sandwiches (The Entertainment Weekly being my favorite) that I visit it for lunch at least once a week.
The Entertainment Weekly contains:
Toasted Sourdough Bread
Shredded Lettuce
Tomatoes
Honey Mustard
Mayo
Pepperjack Cheese
Roasted Turkey (high quality like Boar's Head or something- NOT PROCESSED)
It's the most delicious sandwhich I have ever eaten.
What a random blog. I went from talking about a magazine to a sandwhich. Oh well.
